A development of 8 individual houses designed and detailed by Corporate Architecture in Woodhouse Eaves, Leicestershire has been awarded a prestigious award of Best Small Housing development in the UK. The developer client was not only proud at what was created, but also only too pleased to provide an insight into his working relationship with Corporate Architecture.
Ian Jowett, Managing Director of Willmark Homes selected Corporate Architecture for the project, Ian was keen to select a practice which could not only create attractive creative houses, but one who understood the technical challenges of the topography and arboriculture of the site.

I have worked with many Architects practices who can draw something which looks great, but which just doesn’t work when you go to build out” he went on to say “they always looked to overcome any issues with value engineering in mind which was a refreshing change”.
“One of the key challenges Corporate Architecture had to face was the steep gradients across the site, they stepped the properties to work to the topography to minimise build costs, protect the existing landscape and provide a scheme which gradually climbed into the site”.
