Christian Hobbs, a keen amateur boxer and a former member of the Heart of England Boxing Club in Hinckley, Leicestershire, died tragically at the age of 17 on Boxing Day 2017.
As well as an enjoyment of the sport itself, Christian also valued the self-discipline, self-respect, inner strength and confidence that boxing helped him to develop.
In Christian’s memory, and to support others who could gain so much from the sport that he enjoyed, his parents, Caspar and Louise, are working hard to raise funds to build a new boxing gym which they hope will become a world class amateur boxing facility, attracting boxers of all levels, including national teams, to train and go onto achieve great things.
CA are honoured to be part of this exciting new project and are looking forward to submitting for planning permission imminently.
Fundraising continues to ensure that this fabulous new facility can be built both as a tribute to Christian but also to make sure that others can benefit from the sport in the way that he did.
