In October 2023, Corporate Architecture Limited were appointed by Wilten Construction, on behalf of LeMieux Limited, a high-end equestrian brand based in Southampton, to deliver a bespoke two-storey office building (18,415 sq. ft. GIA) alongside an adjoining industrial warehouse (35,729 sq. ft. GIA).

The project was inherited with an extant planning permission, which LeMieux sought to enhance and reimagine. Working collaboratively, we delivered a fully re-designed scheme which was successfully granted Planning Approval.

Following approval, our initial scope of works was to prepare a RIBA Stage 4 set of Construction drawings for the Shell & Core element. However, after successfully delivering this phase, our appointment was extended to include a full  Category B fit-out of the office spaces, along with a comprehensive interior design service tailored to LeMieux’s specific needs.

Working through multiple internal space planning proposals, we focused on creating workspaces aligned with LeMieux’s teams and workgroups. Once the layout was approved, we proceeded with a fully detailed design, including interior design proposals. As part of this process, we developed a full 3D CGI concept model of the scheme in its context, enabling the client to make informed design decisions regarding both external architecture and internal fixtures and finishes.

To meet LeMieux’s operational requirements, we provided phased design packages, ensuring early access to the warehouse for racking installation. The project was successfully completed and handed over in February 2025, receiving outstanding feedback from the client.
